Coach Tony Ersland joins hosts Cory Palm and Tanner Lipsett to discuss the results from the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational, what lessons can be learned from the elite competition and how the team can use those lessons going forward. They also preview the Dec. 19 dual with No. 13 Iowa State in Ersland's hometown of Humboldt, Iowa.
After an impressive performance at the 2021 Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational, Purdue wrestling head coach Tony Ersland weighs in on the Always Aggressive Podcast to talk through the Boilermakers results and what they took away from Sin City. Ersland and company also take a look at the team’s upcoming finals and the final team event of the semester. 
 
The Boilermakers had a program-record seven placewinners at CKLV, finishing sixth as a team with 85.5 points. Senior Devin Schroder and junior Thomas Penola headlined Purdue’s performances, finishing second and third, respectively, at 125 and 197 pounds. 
 
After finishing up finals this week, the Boilermakers will head to Humboldt, Iowa for a dual against No. 13 Iowa State. Both Ersland and Cyclone head coach Kevin Dresser are alumni of Humboldt High School and bring their squads back for an incredible even in their hometown.
