Head Coach Tony Ersland joins hosts Tanner Lipsett and Cory Palm to take you inside what a recruiting visit is like at Purdue University, which can range from walking on the field at a sold-out football game, meeting legendary Boilermakers like Drew Brees and even going axe-throwing. The guys also talk about the upcoming World Championships in Oslo and what steps Purdue Wrestling is taking to ensure future world teams will include Boilermakers.
Recruiting season is in full swing for the Purdue wrestling team and head coach Tony Ersland pulls back the curtain a bit to talk about the process, the visits and everything that goes with it for the Boilermakers.
The Boilermakers have had some fantastic home football games in Ross-Ade Stadium, volleyball in Holloway Gymnasium and a variety of other events and appointments on campus. Ersland talks about everything that goes into it and what it takes to pull off the 48-hour trips.
The 2021 UWW World Championships are scheduled for this weekend in Oslo, Norway, and the show takes a short look at the USA roster and potential achievements for the team. In addition, they talk about the Boilermakers’ accomplishments and training for freestyle and some of their achievements as they chase the dream of World and Olympic medals.
